Penultimate Press Releases Two New Henning Christiansen Albums

Penultimate Press have just released two new archival Henning Christiansen albums. Both are soundtracks to films created by his partner Ursula Reuter Christiansen. The first is a soundtrack for The Executioner, Ursula's first film released in 1971. The second is a soundtrack for her second film Den Røde Skov (english translation: The Red Forest), released in 1986. You can listen to samples from both albums above. Oren Ambarchi, Kassel Jaeger, and James Rushford to Release New Album <i>Face Time</i>

Oren Ambarchi, Kassel Jaegar, and James Rushford are releasing a follow-up to their 2016 album Pale Calling. The new record is entitled Face Time and will be released on June 1st via Black Truffle Records. It was recorded at GRM studios in Paris last June and you can hear samples from the record above. The press release states that the album features "a simmering stew of electronic smears, pitched-down animal moans, and mysteriously emotive microtonal organ chords" along with "distorted autoharp, inchoate grunts and the sound of a Cristal Baschet". The album is currently available for pre-order at Deejay and Kompakt. While not currently on the site, copies should also be available at Forced Exposure.

Aerophonic Records Releases Two New Albums

The Chicago-based Aerophonic Records has released two new albums. As with everything else on the label, both records feature label founder Dave Rempis. The first release is entitled Empty Castlesand is performed by Spectral, a horn trio featuring Dave Rempis, Darren Johnston, and David Ochs. The album was recorded in a munitions bunker located in Vallejo, California.

The second album is entitled Dodecahedron and features Dave Rempis and Tim Daisy. A number of guests are featured on the release: Jason Adasiewicz, Jim Baker, Fred Lonberg-Holm, Steve Swell, Katie Young, and Aaron Zarzutzki. Entr'acte has announced two new albums that will be coming out within the next two months. The first finds the London-based choral ensemble Musarc performing pieces by composer Neil Luck. The album is entitled Bloody Sirens and was recorded in 2015. The album comes out May 11th. You can pre-order the LP and find more information about it on the Entr'acte site here.

The two-disc album features numerous artists: Tetuzi Akiyama, Sarah Hennies, Ryu Hankil, Samuel Rodgers, Joseph Clayton Mills, Sally Ann McIntyre (Radio Cegeste), and more.

Raw Tonk have released a new album from Sam Andreae, David Birchall, Toshimaru Nakamura, and Otto Willberg. The album is titled Live at Ftarri and features a live recording of the four musicians at the titular venue in Tokyo last year. Tatsuya Nakatani and Mark Weaver Release New Album

Tatsuya Nakatani and Mark Weaver have released a new album simply titled weaver nakatani. The album features eleven tracks that were recorded live without any overdubs. The recordings took place back in January in Truth or Consequences, New Mexico. Nakatani plays percussion while Weaver plays the tuba and didgeridoo. Earlier this year, Tatsuya Nakatani collaborated with Dave Liebman and Adam Rudolph on The Unknowable, released on RareNoise Records.
